Obviously inspired by the legendary fairytale of the Three Little Pigs, Quickspin have provided their own little spin on the tale by providing players with their own Big Bad Wolf slot game.
Fairtytales have always proved to be rather popular themes for developers to take inspiration from and they have also been rather easy to produce, however they can still be some hugely successful titles.
Indeed, Quickspin may have struck gold with this game as we loved doing our Big Bad Wolf game review and we are pretty confident players will enjoy it once they know what to expect from the game.
This Big Bad Wolf slot game features a standard five-reel, three-row format, thus making it rather easy for players to be able to follow. The game also features 25 different paylines in which winning combinations can reward players with a prize when formed.
Bets can be placed from as little as R0.25 and up to a maximum of R100, therefore being suitable to a number of players with a variety of betting requirements. In addition, Quickspin have kept things rather simple and have provided a number of options in which the gameplay can be customised. For instance, the ‘Autoplay’ and the ‘Quickspin’ functions have both been provided.
Players will be able to sit back and see the Big Bad Wolf look to do his thing when setting the ‘Autoplay’ function active, whilst the ‘Quickspin’ function will see the reels sped up to a quicker rate, thus perhaps getting more spins in during a certain time limit.
There are a number of symbols available on the paytable, with winning combinations being blown away and replaced with new icons on the same spin!
The low-value icons are the card numbers of 10 to A and will appear rather often compared to the other icons, which consist of the three pigs, the wolf and a moon.
One of the special Big Bad Wolf bonus features we found doing our review was that the Wild system that Quickspin have used is different to many traditional ones that are generally used. For instance, each spin with a win that happens twice – i.e. it has been formed on at least two occasions – will see one of the Pig card’s turn into a Wild which has the power to replace any other icon. The Beehive, though, is the game’s regular Wild that will payout when two or more appear on a payline, as well as act as a substitute for other icons.
The Scatter is the Wolf and three or more of him will provide players with 10 free spins, as well as 3x their bet as a reward.
The Moons will trigger the ‘Blowing Down the House Bonus’ feature and three of these will need to be collected. The Wolf will blow all of the icons away and will see the icons be reshuffled which could trigger some big wins.
RTP (return to player)
Quickspins’ Big Bad Wolf slot game has a return to player (RTP) rate of 97.31%, which can be considered rather high and rather appealing for players looking for a casual gaming experience. Of course, there is a Big Bad Wolf Free Play version at the top of our page available, but we would suggest hitting the reels for real money as soon as possible!
