Gameplay
From the first initial look of Joker Strike slot game, this is a five-reel, 10 payline game that has a rather classic feel to it. Players are able to stake as little as R0.10 per spin, although those that fancy playing some high-stakes action are able to wager as much as R100 per spin. All paylines are fixed, so there is no need to adjust these.
There are a couple of feature buttons that allow players to customise their gaming experience, though. Buttons include an ‘Autospin’ function and a ‘Quickspin’ function. The first allows for a number of spins to be placed uninterrupted, whereas the latter allows for the speed of the reels to be increased. The symbols that have been included in Quickspin’s Joker Strike game are the playing card suits, a silver bell, a golden star and the lucky red Seven. The joker – as expected – is the highest paying symbol as it pays out 100x the bet when five are landed on the reels.
The ‘Wild’, which is represented by the actual word, provides a payout of 30x the bet if five are landed upon the reels, whilst it also has the ability to substitute other icons on the paytable to form a winning combination.
Feature Bonuses
There are a number of Joker Strike bonuses available, which is where Quickspin have managed to make a rather unique and exciting slot game compared to many others that are available.
Following any win to have been made on the reels, the outer wheel lights up with the winning symbol and sees a light dart across the border and looks to give players a second chance of winning an award on that particular spin. If it is successful, extra symbols of the same kind will be added to the reels.
Depending on how many were landed in a winning combination, a number of those symbols will be added. For example, a three-of-a-kind win will see further six icons added, whereas four and five winning combinations will see a further eight and 10 symbols added to the grid. This can provide players with the opportunity to earn some big wins, as up to 15 positions on the reels could all show the same icon.
Another top feature to appear in the Joker Strike slot game is the ‘Hi-Roller’ feature. For players that place bets of higher than R20.00, they will be guaranteed to have a ‘Wild’ appear each time on the reels, whereas if they bet R30.00 they will get the symbol appearing on the outer wheel as well. If the Wild Strike feature lands, then between six and 10 wilds will be added to the base game.
Players using R50.00 or more for their bets for at least five consecutive spins will be able to get a second marker light on the wheel, therefore doubling the chance of triggering the Joker Strike feature.

There are two different return to player (RTP) rates that we found when doing our Quickspin’s Joker Strike slot review, which all depends on the features being used by players. For those that are staking low amounts, they have a rate of 96.46% whereas those that make the most of the ‘Hi-Roller’ feature will have a RTP rate of 98.11%, which is rather remarkable!
