Emporer’s Garden Slot Game Review
The Emporer’s Garden slot game is one which has been given to us by the team at NextGen Gaming. It is unknown exactly when this machine came on the market but the simple nature of the graphics suggest that it has been around for a while.
There is a Chinese feel about this game with the slot set in front of the background of a Chinese garden. The game looks visually stunning and the interface is very simple to understand even with a number of different fonts.
GAMEPLAY
There are plenty of slots out there with an Oriental theme and Emporer’s Garden is another of those. This is a slot that has five reels and as many as 25 paylines, with the theme to the game being the Emporer and his garden. We are taken through the riches that being royalty has to offer throughout the game.
There are plenty of symbols in play in Emporer’s Garden. The lower value ones are the regular icons A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9, while the better paying symbols include a dragon statue, a pink lily, a pagoda and the Emporer. The Wild icon is the garden while the Scatter symbol is the Koi.
BONUS FEATURE
NextGen Gaming slots are not renowned for an abundance of features and they have not broken that mould with the Emporer’s Garden game. There are two features, a Free Spins one and a Gamble one.
The Free Spins feature requires three or more Koi Scatter symbols to appear across the reels. This rewards you with 10 free spins for you to get stuck into. One beauty of this feature is that these free spins come with a 3x multiplier which triples any win you may earn. The other good thing is that the feature can be retriggered if three more Scatters hit the reels.
Regular slot players will be aware of the Gamble feature as it is an option on a lot of NextGen machines. After any win you get the option of doubling or quadrupling your win. If you want to double your win you need to choose between red and black for the colour of a card. You need the right suit if you want to quadruple your win. Get it wrong and you lose that win though.
RTP
One area where the Emporer’s Garden slot game doesn’t score particularly well is the RTP rating. For this slot it is down at 95.34%, which is very much below the average.
VERDICT
Chinese themed slots are nothing new to the slot game landscape, but there is an enjoyment and an entertaining feel about the Emporer’s Garden which makes it one of the better offerings out there. The graphics of the game are simple but very effective and the Japanese soundtrack is quite catchy. The free spins feature can be activated without too much difficulty so bigger wins come along quite naturally. This is a slot game that ticks a lot of boxes.
