Wizard of Oz Slot Review
The Wizard of Oz is 30 pay-lines and 5 reels video slot and runs on the Williams Interactive platform. The slot has been inspired by the Wizard of Oz classic story and created after the famous favorite movie of the same name. Its reels are white and they feature all of the famous items and characters from the movie.
Before you start to follow the yellow brick road along with Dorothy, get your bets set. Once you click on the “Bet/Line +/-” it allows you to regulate the coin size that ranges from 0.01 up to 5. The “Lines” button helps you set a specific number of lines. There is a Small “Play” Button, and that is the auto-play that automatically turns the reels without interruption for a certain number of times. On your current bet, “Spin” is used for setting your reels in motion.
The Wild symbol of the game is the game logo and it can be substituted for all of the symbols of the game except for the Bonus symbols and Jacket symbol. The Wild symbols also can form winning combinations on its own, and not just when it substitutes a line win.
The game’s highest paying symbol is the Jackpot symbol, and it can earn you lots of money when you win 5 of them in an active pay-line. But the symbol only appears during the base game.
The only time the Witch Symbol appears is during the base game and changes between 1 to 5 reels in the expanding Wilds. After the reels have stopped, the pay-lines are evaluated and the line wins get paid. You can use the Expanding Wild as a substitute for all of the symbols with the exception of the Jackpot and Feature symbols.
Whenever you land 3 Bonus symbols anyplace on the 1, 3 and 5 reels, it triggers the Oz Pick feature. The feature may award the Road Emerald City feature, Winged Monkey feature, or a monetary amount. If you play fewer than the maximum number of lines, the bonus feature awards either the Winged Monkey feature or a monetary amount. The bonus feature only can be triggered during the game.
At the beginning of the Winged Monkey feature you get awarded 8 free spins. Once the spins start the Monkey symbol is transformed into a Wild. Whenever you land the symbols on 3 reels you will then be prompted to click anyplace on the screen so that your monkey enters the screen. Then the monkey removes random symbols and will leave the Wilds behind. The feature is re-triggered by another 3 symbols.
With the Road to Emerald City feature, it allows you to choose one of the emeralds from all of the ones that are shown. When you reveal a character land you are randomly sent the Wicked Witch Castle, Cowardly Lion Dark Forest, Tin Man Apple Orchard, or Scarecrow Corn Field. During all three phases, you will be prompted to choose one of the charms that are shown and if you show the Emerald City icon and be sent to the city gates where the characters are awarded a prize if you get through the gates.
