The Treasure Island slot game is very much based in line with the adventure tale by the great Robert Louis Stevenson. The characters in the book are the same in this slot game and the theme is very much centred round treasure and the island setting.
The low paying icons are very similar to other slots. They are the playing cards 10, J, Q, K and A, but it is the unique icons which bring this game to life. You have three big characters in cartoon form, with Captain Flint, Jim Hawkins and of course Long John Silver himself making up those. There are also wilds and scatters that are in play.
BONUS FEATURE
There are a few features in play in Treasure Island which is always a positive. The first of those is the Pirate Attack one which comes along when two or more of the Barrel Wilds appear on the reels. The pirate ship comes into view and it will send 2 or 3 cannonballs into the reels. They turn into wilds where they land generating better chances to win.
The other feature comes when three Bonus Scatters show up on the reels. When you have activated this you get the chance to choose your prize. You will either get a cash windfall, free spins or the Treasure Hunt bonus which is the one you want. Choosing free spins will lead you to the Island Hop Bonus game. Here you pick from further free spins, more wilds, stacks of Super Wilds or Locked Barrel Wilds which remain on the reels throughout the free spins. This can lead to some nice wins.
If you choose the Treasure Hunt Feature is it game on. You get to see a map which has five X icons on it. You need to choose two correctly to get a cash prize which can deliver a decent win.
